Children entering Kindergarten for the first time must be five years old by September 1st in order to register. Children entering first grade must be six years by September 1st to register. At the time of registration, parents must present:

• an original birth certificate
• proof of residency
• immunization record
• prior school records (if applicable)
• custody papers (if applicable)

Immunization Requirements

Arizona law requires that all children entering school must be immunized. TUSD #1 requires current immunization records for all students upon registration. For a complete list of state requirements visit the Arizona Department of Health Services Web site.
